Our names are Katie Thompson, and Nhlanhla Ncube and we are the owners and operators of The African Music Store. After several years of Katie and I working in and managing several music stores in Las Vegas, Denver, Washington DC, and Portland Oregon, we decided to open a musical instrument store that we always wanted. As avid mbira percussionists ourselves, we have in depth understanding of our instruments. Moreover, we are aware that every consumer has different needs, from the hobbyists to the connoisseur, our instruments cater to all.
